Forum Terms

Rosemary Rabbit Foundation

Last Updated: April 9, 2026

Welcome to the Rosemary Rabbit community forum and related community features on RosemaryRabbit.org, including member posts, comments, photo sharing, story submissions, event highlights, downloadable materials, and any other public or member-facing community spaces (collectively, the “Forum”).

These Forum Terms govern your access to and use of the Forum. By joining, posting, uploading, commenting, submitting content, or otherwise participating in the Forum, you agree to these Forum Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy and any other posted site policies.

If you do not agree to these Forum Terms, please do not use the Forum.

1. Purpose of the Forum

The Rosemary Rabbit community exists to encourage kindness, intergenerational connection, learning, storytelling, and community action. We want this to be a welcoming place where families, caregivers, children, educators, volunteers, and supporters can share experiences, celebrate meaningful moments, and inspire positive action in local communities.

The Forum is intended to support our mission. It is not intended to serve as a space for political campaigning, commercial solicitation, personal attacks, harassment, or the sharing of content that could place children, families, older adults, or vulnerable individuals at risk.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, submit content in your own name, or agree to these Forum Terms.

If content involves or depicts a child under 18, the submission must be made by that child's parent or legal guardian, or by an adult who has the legal authority and appropriate permissions to submit the content.

If you are an educator, school representative, volunteer leader, organization representative, or similar adult submitting content involving minors, you represent that you have all permissions, releases, and approvals necessary to do so.

We do not knowingly permit children under 13 to independently create accounts or submit personal information through the Forum without legally sufficient parental consent. Operators of sites covered by COPPA generally must provide notice and obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting, using, or disclosing personal information from children under 13.

3. Community Standards and Expected Conduct

We want the Forum to reflect the spirit of Rosemary Rabbit: warm, respectful, compassionate, constructive, and safe.

By using the Forum, you agree that you will not post, upload, transmit, or share any content that:

  • is false, misleading, defamatory, or intentionally deceptive
  • is abusive, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, hateful, or intimidating
  • targets or demeans a person or group based on age, disability, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristic
  • contains profanity directed at others, cruelty, or degrading language
  • glorifies violence, self-harm, exploitation, abuse, or neglect
  • sexualizes children or vulnerable individuals in any way
  • invades another person's privacy
  • discloses confidential, private, medical, educational, legal, or financial information about another person without permission
  • includes doxxing, stalking, impersonation, or threats
  • includes spam, scams, chain messages, phishing attempts, malware, or disruptive code
  • promotes illegal activity
  • infringes intellectual property rights, publicity rights, or privacy rights
  • is primarily commercial, promotional, or intended to advertise products or services without our prior written approval
  • is off-topic in a way that materially disrupts the Forum
  • undermines the safety, dignity, or wellbeing of children, caregivers, older adults, or people living with dementia

You also agree not to use the Forum to bully, shame, exploit, manipulate, or pressure others.

We reserve the right to determine, in our sole discretion, whether content or behavior violates these Forum Terms or otherwise harms the community.

4. Special Rules for Content Involving Children

Because Rosemary Rabbit is deeply connected to children, families, and intergenerational activities, submissions involving minors require special care.

If you post or submit content involving a child, you represent and warrant that:

  • you are the parent or legal guardian of the child, or you have express authority from the parent or legal guardian to submit the content
  • you have permission to share the child's image, likeness, first name, artwork, written work, or story as submitted
  • the content does not expose the child to unreasonable privacy or safety risk
  • the content does not include unnecessary identifying details such as home address, personal phone number, school-specific schedules, medical records, or other sensitive personal information
  • the submission is appropriate, dignified, and consistent with the Rosemary Rabbit mission

We strongly recommend that users avoid posting children's last names, exact home locations, personal contact details, school IDs, classroom rosters, medical information, or other sensitive details.

We may remove or edit child-related content at any time if we believe it raises safety, privacy, consent, or appropriateness concerns.

5. Special Rules for Content Involving Older Adults, Senior Centers, and Vulnerable Individuals

If you submit photos, stories, or other content involving older adults, residents of senior communities, or persons who may be vulnerable, you represent that:

  • you have obtained all permissions reasonably necessary to share the content
  • the content is respectful and does not exploit, stereotype, infantilize, or demean the person depicted
  • the content does not disclose private medical or personal information without lawful authority and appropriate consent
  • the content reflects dignity, compassion, and sensitivity

We may remove any content that, in our judgment, compromises dignity, privacy, or safety.

6. User Submissions and Content License

Any text, photographs, videos, artwork, audio, comments, captions, posts, stories, testimonials, or other materials you submit to the Forum are referred to in these Forum Terms as “User Content.”

You retain ownership of your User Content, subject to the rights you grant us below.

By submitting User Content, you grant the Rosemary Rabbit Foundation a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, host, store, adapt, edit, translate, format, publish, display, distribute, publicly perform, and otherwise use your User Content in connection with:

  • operating and maintaining the Forum
  • displaying community submissions on the website
  • newsletters and email communications
  • social media posts
  • community spotlights
  • promotional, educational, and mission-related materials
  • fundraising and outreach communications related to the Rosemary Rabbit mission

This license includes the right to crop, resize, format, excerpt, or lightly edit content for clarity, length, accessibility, moderation, or technical purposes, while preserving its general meaning and spirit.

You acknowledge that the Forum may be public or semi-public, and that content you submit may be viewed, shared, captured, or discussed by others.

7. Photo, Video, Voice, Name, and Likeness Release

By uploading or submitting photographs, videos, audio, or similar content, you confirm that you have the legal right to grant permission for the use of the names, images, voices, likenesses, performances, and appearances of all identifiable individuals depicted or heard in the content.

You grant Rosemary Rabbit Foundation permission to use those materials, and the names, likenesses, voices, and appearances contained in them, for community, editorial, educational, promotional, fundraising, and mission-related purposes without further notice or compensation, unless prohibited by law.

Where a child is depicted or identifiable, you further represent that the child's parent or legal guardian has consented to that use.

If you do not have the necessary rights and permissions, do not submit the content.

8. User Representations and Warranties

By submitting User Content, you represent and warrant that:

  • you own the content or have all rights and permissions necessary to submit it
  • the content does not infringe the rights of any third party
  • the content is accurate to the best of your knowledge
  • the content complies with these Forum Terms and applicable law
  • where applicable, you have obtained valid permission from parents, guardians, organizations, schools, facilities, or other relevant parties
  • your submission does not contain hidden tracking, malicious code, or harmful files

9. Moderation and Editorial Discretion

We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to review, monitor, screen, edit, refuse, restrict, suspend, hide, or remove any User Content or user account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason consistent with these Forum Terms and the safety and mission of the community.

This includes content we believe:

  • violates these Forum Terms
  • is inappropriate, unsafe, or inconsistent with the Rosemary Rabbit mission
  • may create legal, reputational, or privacy risk
  • may expose children or vulnerable individuals to harm
  • is misleading, exploitative, or unduly commercial
  • is repetitive spam or otherwise disruptive

We also reserve the right to close discussions, limit posting privileges, disable comments, or impose additional submission requirements where necessary to protect the community.

Our decision whether to remove or retain content is final, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

10. Reporting Inappropriate Content or Conduct

If you believe content or conduct in the Forum violates these Forum Terms, infringes your rights, invades privacy, or creates a safety concern, please contact us at: info@rosemaryrabbit.org

Please include enough detail for us to review the report, such as:

  • the URL or location of the content
  • the name of the user, if known
  • a description of the issue
  • why you believe the content should be reviewed or removed
  • any supporting documentation, if applicable

We may investigate reports, request additional information, and take action in our discretion.

11. Consequences for Violations

If you violate these Forum Terms, we may take any action we deem appropriate, including:

  • removing or editing content
  • issuing a warning
  • temporarily suspending posting privileges
  • permanently banning a user from the Forum
  • terminating accounts
  • restricting access to some or all site features
  • reporting conduct to law enforcement or other authorities where appropriate
  • preserving and disclosing information as required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property

Repeated or serious violations may result in immediate removal or permanent exclusion from the Forum.

12. No Harassment, No Hate, No Exploitation

The Rosemary Rabbit community is designed to foster empathy, not hostility. Harassment, hate speech, coercive behavior, exploitation, or content that humiliates, dehumanizes, or targets others has no place here.

We are especially protective of content involving children, older adults, people living with dementia, caregivers, and other individuals who may be vulnerable to misunderstanding, stigma, or misuse.

13. No Medical, Legal, or Professional Advice

The Forum may include personal stories, educational resources, opinions, and community discussion. It is not a substitute for medical, legal, mental health, educational, or other professional advice.

Nothing in the Forum should be taken as diagnosis, treatment guidance, legal advice, or an individualized recommendation. Always seek qualified professional advice for specific concerns.

14. Intellectual Property and Copyright Complaints

Do not post content you do not own or have permission to use.

If you believe content on the Forum infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, contact us at info@rosemaryrabbit.org with sufficient detail to identify the material and your claim.

We may remove allegedly infringing content while we review the matter.

15. Privacy and Sensitive Information

Please do not post personal, private, or sensitive information about yourself or others in the Forum.

This includes, by way of example:

  • home addresses
  • personal phone numbers
  • personal email addresses in public posts
  • health diagnoses or treatment details about another person
  • legal or financial documents
  • school schedules, student IDs, or classroom rosters
  • government ID numbers
  • passwords or account credentials

California residents may have rights to know, delete, and otherwise control certain personal information under the CCPA, depending on whether the law applies to the organization and processing at issue. Your website privacy disclosures should align with those rights and your actual data practices.

16. Requests to Remove Submitted Content

If you submitted content and later want it removed, you may contact us at info@rosemaryrabbit.org.

While we will consider good-faith requests and may remove content from our controlled properties, you understand that:

  • copies may remain in backups for a limited period
  • content may already have been viewed, shared, or reposted by others
  • complete removal from all downstream locations may not be possible

If the request concerns a child, privacy concern, consent issue, or safety issue, we will prioritize review.

17. Termination of Access

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Forum at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Forum Terms, created risk for the community, or used the Forum in a manner inconsistent with our mission.

Termination does not necessarily delete all previously submitted content, though we may remove it in our discretion.

18. Disclaimer of Responsibility for User Content

Users are solely responsible for the content they submit and for their interactions with other users.

We do not endorse every statement made by users in the Forum, and we are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, legality, or reliability of User Content posted by others.

19. Reservation of Rights

We reserve all rights not expressly granted in these Forum Terms. We may update, revise, or discontinue all or part of the Forum at any time.

20. Changes to These Forum Terms

We may revise these Forum Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date above. Your continued use of the Forum after revised terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
